After sending a notice of intent to refuse CEN Biotech’s medical marijuana license, the company now has 20 days to appeal the decision before it’s final.
In an email to BlackburnNews.com, a Health Canada spokesperson says “based on a thorough assessment in line with the extensive requirements built into the Medical Marijuana Program, Health Canada has advised CEN Biotech of its intent to reject its application.”
In a release to Creative Edge Nutrition shareholders, CEN Biotech’s parent company, they say the company is fully cooperating with Health Canada.
However, CEN Biotech has contacted the Office of the Privacy Commissioner after they say information from Health Canada about the company was leaked to the media.
CEN Biotech’s public relations firm, PathwayGroup, has chosen to sever ties with the company. Company officials also declined our request for an interview.
